What is a Chevalier?
The Degree of Chevalier is the highest Honor that can be conferred upon an active DeMolay who has performed unusual and meritorious service on behalf of the Order.
The recipient must be 17 years of age, the year he is nominated, and must not know of the nomination. This Honor can be conferred upon a Senior DeMolay.
