DeMolay is an international youth organization for young men aged 12 to 21. It was founded in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1919 by Frank S. Land. The organization is named after Jacques DeMolay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and is based on the principles of chivalry, leadership, and service.
DeMolay chapters, known as “Chapters,” are organized locally and are sponsored by Masonic lodges or other Masonic bodies. The organization provides young men with opportunities for personal development, leadership training, civic engagement, and social activities.
Key aspects of DeMolay include fostering moral and ethical development, teaching civic responsibility, promoting academic achievement, and encouraging young men to become responsible citizens and leaders in their communities.
